Dane County Circuit Court Judge Chris Taylor Announces Her Candidacy for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals
Dane County Circuit Court Judge Chris Taylor seeks to replace outgoing Wisconsin Court of Appeals Judge Michael R. Fitzpatrick.
Dane County Circuit Court—Branch 12 Judge Chris Taylor offically announced her candidacy for a seat on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals today. According to her campaign’s press release, she is running to replace outgoing Wisconsin Court of Appeals—District Four Judge Michael R. Fitzpatrick.
“I congratulate Judge Fitzpatrick on his retirement from the bench and thank him for his many years of service as a judge,” said Judge Taylor.
Before she was appointed to her seat on the Dane County Circuit Court, Judge Taylor had served as public policy director for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and as a Wisconsin state legislator.
“I have dedicated my professional career to working for fairness, equity and justice,” said Judge Taylor. “And I bring this commitment to the judiciary every day. People expect and deserve that our courts—at all levels—be independent forums where fairness, facts and reason prevail.”
No other candidates appear to have filed a campaign registration statement with the Wisconsin Elections Commission seeking election to the soon-to-be vacated seat on the state court of appeals.
The spring general election takes place on April 4th, 2023.
